Who built Steward

Steward was founded by Tim Snyder. He also writes Moving Parts, a newsletter about the technology that shapes our daily lives: how it gets built, why it works the way it does, and how we can make it better.

Why we built Steward

A medical bill that should have gone to insurance. A subscription that quietly got more expensive. A company that still owes you a reply. Keeping track of it all takes attention, even when you know exactly what to do. It helps to have an agent looking out for you and carrying the work forward.

Tim spent twenty years building software inside companies whose billing and retention processes shape these experiences. He writes about that at Moving Parts.

We built Steward to take your side of that work. It comes prepared to spot familiar problems, recommend what to do, and act across the websites and accounts you use. The benefit is having the next step handled, along with the follow-up that would otherwise stay on your list.

How we make money

Steward acts on your instruction. It is honest about what is still waiting. It is software, not a lawyer, accountant, or licensed advisor, and when a job needs a step only you can take, it says so instead of pretending. Medical bills and subscriptions are the starting points. Share a bill or connect an account, and Steward knows what to check, what to recommend, and how to follow through. You can reach your agent over text or on the web, and ask it to handle other tasks across your websites and accounts, too.
