Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Stitch Inc. about your use of Steward. By creating an account or using Steward you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Steward.
What Steward is
Steward is a financial AI agent that acts on your instruction. It reads the documents and accounts you provide, works through supported provider, insurer, bank, and merchant portals, and records what happened. Jobs can include reviewing bills for errors, finding recurring charges, canceling subscriptions, sending requests, or filing disputes. Steward is not a law firm, accountant, insurance broker, or financial advisor, and nothing it shows you is legal, tax, or investment advice. For decisions that need a licensed professional, consult one.
Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old and a United States resident to use Steward. You may use it only for your own accounts and bills.
You authorize Steward to act for you
For the accounts and portals you connect, you appoint Steward as your limited agent to sign in on your behalf, read your documents and account state, and take the steps reasonably needed to complete the financial job you request. This authorization is limited to what these terms, your instructions, and your confirmations cover. You can withdraw it at any time by disconnecting an account or deleting your account.
Your instructions and confirmations
Before Steward sends a dispute, cancellation, appeal, refund or waiver request, or related message, it shows you the exact outward action and asks you to confirm it. Your confirmation is bound to the content you saw, and confirming one action does not authorize a different one. Steward may also ask for missing information, a live verification code, a choice between sign-in methods, or a decision only you can make.
Accounts and portals you connect
You may connect only accounts and billing or insurance portals you are authorized to use, and you are responsible for complying with those providers' own terms. While work is active, Steward may sign in to the relevant portal on its own, on a schedule, to check for a reply or an update. These background sign-ins are read-only: Steward reads for you but does not take an outward action, and it pauses and asks you when a portal needs a fresh verification code. Bank and card connections are read-only through our banking data partner; Steward cannot move, send, or withdraw money.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information and documents that are yours to share.
- Only connect accounts and portals you are authorized to use.
- Keep your Steward login secure, and keep your own credentials current.
Fees
Finding subscriptions and checking bills are free. Steward Plus cancels subscriptions, disputes billing errors, appeals denials, and requests refunds or waivers for $15/month or $120/year. No per-case or percentage fees. You can cancel Plus at any time; it stays active through the period you already paid for and does not renew after that.
No guaranteed outcomes
Steward prepares the strongest case your documents support, but billers, insurers, and merchants decide their own outcomes, and Steward may not catch every error. Amounts shown as savings are estimates grounded in your documents, not promises, and a saving counts only once the corrected bill or credit is actually observed.
How we access your account
Authorized Stitch Inc. personnel may access your account to operate, support, secure, and debug the service. Such access is limited to those purposes, is logged, and does not include taking outward actions on your behalf.
Deleting your account
You can request deletion of your account at any time from your account settings. To protect against accidental or unauthorized requests, deletion takes effect after a short grace period (currently 7 days), during which you can cancel it. After the grace period, we permanently erase your account and your data, including your documents, findings, conversations, connections, vaulted credentials, and the activity record we keep. We may retain a limited record only where the law requires it.
Service availability and warranties
Steward will continue to change as the service improves, and it is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Stitch Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost savings or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the fees you paid to Steward in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
Acceptable use
Do not use Steward to submit claims you know to be false, to access accounts that are not yours, or to attempt to break the service or its safeguards. You agree to cover losses that arise from your misuse of Steward or your breach of these terms.
Suspension and ending
You can stop using Steward and delete your account at any time, as described above. We may suspend or end an account that violates these terms or that we must restrict to protect the service or other people.
Changes to these terms
We will update these terms as the product grows and note the date above. For material changes we will give notice in the app or by email before they take effect; continuing to use Steward after that means you accept the change.
Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If something goes wrong, contact us first and we will try in good faith to resolve it. The state and federal courts located in California will have jurisdiction over any dispute not resolved informally.
General
These terms, together with our Privacy and Security pages, are the entire agreement between you and Stitch Inc. about Steward. If any part is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours to an affiliate or successor. You agree to receive notices and communications from Steward electronically.
